Arcade blowout in Richmond, VA
« on: January 31, 2005, 07:23:24 pm »
A friend of mine in the Richmond area is trying to clear out his shop of a lot of arcade stuff, including cabinets, coin doors, marquees, and random parts.  He's letting empty cabinets go for as low as $50.  Below you'll see a picture of one of the Solitaire cabinets he has, as well as some Tron-style joysticks from a Xenophobe control panel.  Anyway, if you are potentially interested in anything, email him at hobo2k AT comcast DOT net.  He has a shop you can go to and check things out in person, or he can ship smaller items.

Oh, and here's a yoke from some Sega game.  It can turn 270 degrees or so, plus pushes in and out and has a thumb button.  I'm not sure how that compares to a Star Wars yoke, but it would definitely be cool on a MAME cabinet.

Actually, it's a Whirlwind.  And yeah, he has a lot of pinball machines for sale too.  Some shopped, some unshopped.  Some working, some not.  Email him for details.

I wonder if he will sell one of those tron style joysticks.  Could you find out a price for me?

Yes, he'll sell those Tron-type sticks, separate or all three together.  Email him at hobo2k AT comcast DOT net for prices.

Probably.  He has a ton of stuff.  There's only one way to find out, though - email him at hobo2k AT comcast DOT net.

No problem.  I'm happy to see more arcade fans in the area.  You'll find that his shop is pretty cluttered right now, but he's got a TON of stuff there.  I've gotten 3 cabinets from him so far (my MAME cabinet, an as yet unfinished Super Pac-Man, and a countertop).  He's very reasonable on his prices, too.
