I Need Help with Buying a EPROM proggrammer??
« on: January 30, 2005, 02:21:16 pm »
Hi, Im some what new to this forum but was hoping for some quick advise about eprom programmers. My main concern.. most the programmers Ive seen on ebay all seem to support most of the eproms I figure I will be working with (2716, 2732, 2764, 27C64, 27128, 27C128, 27256, 27C256, 27512, 27C512, 27C1001, 27C010, 27C2001, 27C020, 27C4001, 27C040, 27C8001, 27C080)
MY PROBlem is, none of these common eprom programmers support (or at least list as supporting) 2516's and 2532's. wich from what I've read are used for Pac Man and Mrs Pac (the two first boards I will be using these on.. Galaxian will be the third,, it uses them too)
Im new to this (programming eproms) so what am I missing here? is ther a backward compatibility thing with these numbers? also, anyway haveing a old ISA programmer for the 25xx's for sale,, Id be interested. tnks

There's a topic similar to this one already here.  It may answer some of your questions.  Even though I know some poeple in this forum do have EPROM programmers, you may want to head over to the KLOV forums and ask these more technical questions there.  I hope you find what you're looking for.
