What do I do for textured control panel overlay?
« on: January 24, 2005, 12:15:57 am »
I'm looking for something that is VERY authentic
the most recent arcade game I've seen with new textured control panel overlay is Tekken 5, so I want it exactly like that, the texture is the most important aspect

Does anyone know if it's polycarbinate laminate? (From classicarcadegraphix)

I'm doing Tekken 5 graphics for my arcade machine. I just wondered how you got on with making the lightening effects etc.

Any chance of a photo.

I've almost finished the marquee - bit more lightening to go!!
see attached...

Just trying to work out what to do with the side art - maybe a large namco logo on its side and some more lightening? Can't decide whether to add a character or if that'd be too much.

BrokenBones - I'm not sure whether it should go or not. It makes it look more 'arcade' like.
That sort of label appears on the real tekken machines, so....

Not sure if you were asking me...but anyway, this page has a close-up of my CPO.  Not the best picture but it should give you a bit of an idea:

Awesome cabinet, Minwah - the attention to detail is evident, and the texture of the CPO is very authentic looking!
