Did a search for this but didn't have much luck. Does anyone know if there is a MAME build for this O/S? Or if there has been some talk of it on this forum?

That was a joke more than anything.  If you aren't experienced in programming for both windows/dos and freegem, you can pretty much forget it.  Besides that it is a "simple" as changing all of the dos or windows specific stuff to gem stuff.  Not exactly easy per se but do-able if you have the time.  That is assuming you can get it to compile under gem.  Has gcc been ported to gem?  If not, you have to try to get it to work on another compiler as well.

What is freegem and why would you want to run mame on it?

Well..., from what I understand it's an OLD O/S that was around way before windows and is actually still being worked on. I've just started learning about it myself but I guess it's supposed to be pretty small, fast and efficient. I thought it may be something of interest to use for a MAME cab. I dunno.

Yeah. I googled it and saw some screenshots. Wasn't real impressed but they're only screenshots. I would think that someone wanting a custimized, fast, and lean mame cab would do better with Linux or Dos. Even Windows can be made to be quick and lean.
