He posted a long time ago, that they would be "gone when they're gone".

Apparently they are now gone.

How did you know about the new magic ninja spinner of power?  It appears I need to start looking for new fabricators if my new offerings are going to be leaked....   :)

armax - Yes, it's true that the Push/Pull is out of stock, and I currently do not have plans to do another production run.  At this moment I am digging through all my old stock to see if I have enough parts to put together a couple more for those that have emailed me recently about purchasing them.  However, it already appears that I may not have enough parts on-hand to honor all the requests I have for them right now.

Thanks for the reply!  I think the problem is that many builders such as myself, take the availability of an item for granted.  The push-pull spinner has been on my list for a build for about 8 months now.  I sent ya an email and I cross my fingers you can scrounge one up for me.  Heck, for that matter I'll make it a point to order all  my oscar stuff in one sitting...I hate to make the same mistake twice..

I don't know if you like to give out this information... but...

What is the minimum production size you have.  I'm assuming it doesn't make sense to do 5-10 at a time...  Are you looking at 100 or 500?  Or would the price go up?

You might find for some of the special spinners.. a small run of 25 at a higher price might go well... all with preorders...

Hey Peale!  Tell me about it, between work and work, I haven't been able to do much else lately.  Looks like things are starting to get back to the normal pace, so I should be able to participate more again.  :)

Lilwolf - The push/pull I would only do a minimum batch of 100 units.  Anything less doesn't make much sense, economically.  It's actually quite a bit of legwork to just source all the individual components for the push/pull, and it's too much work to do all that to sell just a handful of them.

Was it a good seller?  It looks like it might have been, because of the Tron dealie.

I've been planning on getting a Push/Pull from you for the longest time now but finances haven't allowed me to.    :(  I sure hope you do another run at some point in time...

And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again

I use bees as a mf'n pen

I'd like to get back to the Magic Ninja Spinner of Power.

Early reports have said that this is a 4/8/49-way (switchable from the top) joystick, that has a spinner ring built into the handle.
The early prototype I saw had a thumb ball in the thumb rest (unfortunately it is a right hand only stick), hat switch (surrounded by a 12 position rotary switch ring), 4-button support, and z-axis analog twisting for 270 games (with a 2-way leaf add-on that swings up into place for Xybots).

I'm not sure how many of these features will actually make it to the initial production run.
(Due mostly to the increased cost of production with each added feature).
There is talk that several different versions of this controller may be released, each including one or more of the prototype features, however.

Is it close enough to release to confirm the final shipping configurations on this yet, Oscar?

I havent heard of this yet.  That sounds absolutely insane!  ;D might as well throw in some mini positional guns and a steering wheel..  ;) :P  Is it going to be nuclear powered or something?  Will it glow in the dark and make my teeth whiter?  Use this for a handle and you'll have a trackball too.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5157821722&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT  ;D

I certainly will do!

Regarding the MH roller, it is still a viable product that I am pursuing.  However, as some of you know, I've been extremely busy with work for the last 6 months or so, resulting in numerous temporary closures of Oscar Controls as I've been out of the country, which has put some of my upcoming products on hold for a while.  Since things have started to get back to normal, I will get back on track on more product offerings just as soon as I can.  I appreciate everyone's support, none of these would be possible without you!  :)

I'm in for a pre-order of a new batch too.  I have no problem leaving a deposit for one.  That is... Unless something new is coming out as it's replacement.

Please advise!

Oscar I know your checking this thread so is there any chance in hell that you have plans to make a 720 reproduction joystick?Im sure there are others on the board that would want one besides me.

The interest might have decreased, now that mame uses an analog joystick input hack instead of the closer-to-the-original-sensors dial.   :(

I'd be interested in a 720 repro, but I already have an almost-working-well original controller, so it will depend if I get mine working perfectly and if I have some money to spend. [shrug]

I have Oscar my 720 controller to look at for repo-ing.

I don't believe he was interested in making a run.  Too many parts.  To specialized.

The price he would have to pay to make cabinet owners happy is really high.  And he might not get enought people here to make it worth his time.

1) Ebay (Good Luck)
2) Buy/Sell/Trade forum here (But you're going to be in line)
3) Make me an absolutely can't refuse offer on mine. (Or on the DOT spinner I've got)

That's about all the help there is on this subject, so the hijacking isn't really THAT bad--nor that uncommon.
Oscar doesn't pop in as often as he used to, so he attracts attention when he does.
It's nothing against you personally, as you will see if you stay around long enough.
People just want to make sure they get heard by him, and posting in a thread they know he is watching is a way of ensuring that.

There have been more hijackings because of Oscar, RandyT, AndyWarne, or URebelScum showing up than just about any other reason.

I just wanted you to know that it wasn't a personal thing, and that it wasn't uncommon.

I don't mind threads being hijacked around here, provided that they are  informative, or entertaining (as shown...I hope...at least to ME, by my "Magic Ninja Spinner of Power" post).

They are much more strict around here about "what goes where", than I am on the three message boards I admin/moderate.
They have a bigger user base than I do, and are in a more "information based" environment, though.
I tend to let anything that isn't offensive, sensitive/confidential, or misleading, slide for the most part on my message boards.

That said, I am very quick to jump on misleading information here, to prevent it from propogating because "so-and-so said such-and-such".
That type of information, presented in a manner that is believable, can quickly overshadow FACT--mostly because people want to believe what they were inclined to believe from the start, regardless of the TRUTH.
