Toggle switch for 49-ways: where?

Ok, I'm in the planning phase for a 2 player CP with 49-way joysticks using Dave's SJC controller.

I want to be able to swtich between linear and exponential scaling using a toggle switch. I'm just not sure where to put the switch or what kind of switch to use

Just use a SPST (single pole single throw) 'rocker', 'slide' or 'toggle' switch.  I don't have the exact details to hand (it's on Dave's site tho) but you just need to connect one terminal to ground, so all you need do is put the switch in line with the ground wire between ground terminal & linear/exp. terminal, ie:

SJC Ground terminal > wire > Switch (common terminal) &
Switch (other terminal) > wire > SJC scaling terminal

I'd probably use something like this:
