like the header says, i have a brand new USB (and the chip and cable for standard serial connection as well) optipac, all paper work and original shipping packaging and whatnot, it does not work with mac, so i want to get rid of it, i have had it for about 6 months waiting for the usb update hoping it would work with my mac, but no luck so i'm cutting my losses and selling it 50$

i also havea brand new oscar pro spinner that was gonna be used with the optipac, the best mame spinner on the market hands down. i recently got a model 1 usb model so i have no need for this, its wired up for the optipac, all orignal shipping packaging etc 65$

you pay for shipping, unless you buy em both then i'll give them up for 100$ total and i cover shipping (US only)

this is the brand new usb upgrade ship and cable that andy is beta testing now, so if you are impatient like me get it early, but you can always use the included serial interface chip and cable if that is your thing as well. and just as a disclaimer i am not saying anything negative about ultimarc, i have an ipac that i love, and andy is always willing to work closely with people to see that they get their stuff working right, just my bad luck that i am a mac user in a mostly PC based hobby, these prices ar ea little less than i paid with shipping and whatnot, as i just hope to break even and find a way to get my trackball working so i can play milliped and bowling and all that 8

um, news flash re-read what i wrote, i have the serial optipac, andy sent me the chip and cable and insrtructions to convert this to a usb optipac, it is still in beta testing. but i have it, it doesnt work on my mac and i have been fiddling with it (serial and now usb) for over 6 months, im ready to cut my losses. so you are wrong, there is a usb optipac only a select few have them, me being one of them, i am selling it. if you want to own a nonexistant product you can buy it from me.

im sure if your runnin a pc, it will work great you can do al lthe fancy 2 trackball stuff yada yada, us mac users havea little bit of a harder time of it, since this is a mostly PC-centric hobby.

so in a nutshell, you are wrong. there is a few usb optipacs, i am selling one of them, do you need pictures??? should i expecta money order

Um, news flash, that all says USB optipac, not serial.  

So what is it?  Between your two posts I am confused.  Is it a serial optipac with some usb cable? or a USB optipac with a serial cable?  Both of your posts indicate either situation.

I just don't want a potential buyer to be misinformed.
I posted that response, you responded with what I hoped for, more info to clarify what you meant.  My job is done here.

its really both. i bought the serial optipac over 6 months ago, it didnt work so andy sent me the usb conversion supplies (a new chip and serial>usb cable and a jumper, along with docs) i have changed it over to usb and tried it on my mac, no luck, so i am passing it on, (both chips, both cables, a few jumpers, a few pages of docs, a little wire to connect the serial opti to the ipac for 5v) it is both a serial and a usb optipac, to change between the 2 you switch the chip and the cable. its very easy and took me about 3 minutes, including reading the doc all the eay thru and pondering a minue or 2 before moving forward. i had to switch the chip on my ipac too, to a more mac usb compatible version as mine was an oder model, so i was slightly experienced at it.

sorry i jumped, like i said i was in bad mood and your post came off as an accusation (damn email, i wish you could hear people instead of just interpreting their typing)

so i hope no hard feeling i appoligise for jumpin on ya.

i will answer and questions that anyone has about these things.

as far as i kow this is the only one for sale right now that is pre release usb, as the usb is still being beta tested. the spinner is brand spankin new, and a great spinner.
