Problem installing Ultimarc ArcadeVGA

Wasn't too sure which forum to post this in, so posted it here. Basically I have managed to intstall the card OK on my Mame cab. Everything works fine and games play lovely on my arcade monitor.

But when I first boot the machine up to Windows desktop (not got round to running Mamewah in a shell yet) the system always detects new hardware as a Video adaptor. It cannot find the drivers for this and when I put the Ultimarc cd in the drive it finds nothing there either.

If I go into device manager there is a yellow warning sign next to Video adaptor and it says that this is not yet installed. If I press cancel and run Mamewah everything works fine. But what is Windows finding and trying to install?

think this is a fairly common prob, try uninstalling the card and the std vga drivers, then rebooty, that may work.  but if its working, i wouldnt fret too much

I dont know the answer to your problem, but I had a question regarding an ultimarc product this morning (about 9.30am) & already have had a reply answering my question (about 10.30am) - what I am trying to say is e-mail them they are really good & then share what you did to fix it

Hit cancel when it detects the new hardware, then "Run the driver Setup program". Like it says on the installation page on the Ultimarc site...
