Would you pay $300 for an NOS 720 Joystick?
« on: January 13, 2005, 05:04:41 pm »
I found an NOS 720 Joystick, but the guy wants $300 for it.  That's a lot coin. I'm probably not going to get it.  But I just thought I'll ask the question.

That's freaking *insane.*  Tell the guy where he can stick it.

Unfortunately he can probably GET that pretty easily.

I wouldn't pay it.

Then again, I wasn't willing to go $455 on the USED Major Havoc CP either.
Or $357 on the USED Star Wars Yoke that went awhile back.

Hmm, why not just spend the $300 and buy an entire game for some game other than 720.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

$300? Just for the controller?

I got my NOS 720 controller *free* when I bough my 720 machine and found it wrapped up in the bottom of the cab!

I LOVE 720.I GOT ALL GOLD MEDALS IN 720.I'M NOT BUYING NOS JOYSTICK FOR THAT PRICE.Last month on ebay guy had one nos and one older working joystick for parts with two 720 pcb and he was selling it for 249.00 buy it now,I was tempted but passed.Three years ago there was guy selling a 720 machine for 450.00 I didn't really have the space or the funds for it,I asked him to sell it to me for 400.00 and he said no and I passed.I kick myself all the time about this loss.Still looking to buy one and I see them go for 400-600 depending on condition. This one was cherry and I blew it.This is probably the one game on mame that I really would prefer to have the real deal.I say wait for a better deal on ebay.
