Any difference between these doors?
« on: January 11, 2005, 11:38:38 am »

The top one is $69 at Arcadeshop and the bottom one is $116 at Happs.

I'm building a cocktail cabinet and I'm wondering if there is any reason to spend the extra $47 on the Happs door...  both come with 2 mechs...  There is no photo of the door on the Happs site and in the long run $47 probably won't matter but I'd like to get the nicest looking door...  Thanks!

The Happ looks like it has blanks for bill acceptors, which is of no use in a home setting.  Go with the first.

Both are Happ doors except the bottom one is "bill validator ready" and has the cutouts/blank filler plates installed. Naturally any door that is bill validator ready is more expensive than a "coin only" door.

Have you checked ebay?  You may find a cheaper coin door there.

Yeah, I think $69 for a coin door is nuts.... you usually can find a nice one on Ebay for around $40 (which includes shipping).    Better yet, if you can find any other arcade vender around your neighborhood, chances are they have one for even cheaper..... at least I have had no problem finding one.

I got my 4-slotted coin door for my 4-player cab for $30 (that included shipping) from a vender around 200 miles away from me.
