Trackball mounting
« on: January 11, 2005, 04:28:14 am »
How do I mount my happs 3" highball without having to place the housing plate on top of the control panel.

I ideally want to have it so you can see the ball but not the plate as i want to design some custom art work and not have a massive black plate in the middle as that would look naff  :(

Has anyone done this and can help? any pics

Many people have done this - you still place the mounting plate on top of the CP, but first route out a depression the thickness of the plate so it is recessed into the CP a little and everything is flush when it's all assembled. You can then cover the CP and mounting plate with your CPO.

You should be able to find some examples in, ooh, just about every other project in the project announcements section. Search is your friend.
