Retroblast Cab speaker setup
« on: January 11, 2005, 01:03:47 am »
A question for Kevin or anyone else that would like to help...

I liked the audio setup that was illustrated with the sony xplod speakers mixed with the creative labs 2600 speakers on the Retroblast website.  With the help of Ebay, I was able to cut costs and find a new set of Sony Xplod 5.25 speakers model XS-R1310,  and a brand new set of Creative Lab 2.1 2500 speakers with subwoofer.  It looks like both the Sony and the Creative Lab items are the immediate prior versions from what was used in the retroblast setup.  I'm looking for confirmation that they can be combined in the same manner.

Secondly, in my cab, the speakers set relatively close to the monitor.   I was thinking of attaching bucking magnets to the back of the Sony XPlods so that the magnetic interference is dispersed.  Does anyone know the correct diameter of the bucking magnets needed for these particular speakers?

Thanks for the help!
