Arcade Music Box v1.12 released on Jan 16
« on: January 08, 2005, 04:44:07 pm »
I now release a sneak preview, because it still not sure, it work pretty on a Win 98 machine (but I have changed the problem functions a lots). This is not updated on the main webpage.

The test file with setup: http://80.163.141.234/fractal/dw/test/Arcade_Music_Box_v112_Setup.zip
(I may delete the file in next week, and move to the correct place) [REMOVED]

Here is there Changes from version 1.11:

30.12.2004: Version 1.12 Released (now runeable on Win 98)

- Windowed debugger mode, if you have trouble to access Arcade Music Box controls from Virtual Desktop systems [added]
- Now load much faster than before (please read the document to explain, how the new cache files is used) [fixed]
- Readded URL support for displaying a invisible Internet Explorer webpage [added]
- URL shortcuts for direct Netradio play is not supported longer [removed]
- Now should work fully on Win 98 (only few issues with configuration screens) [fixed, hoping]
- Some undocumented visual, and other small bugs are fixed [fixed]
- Queue Random feature is now moved in the control panel, with it should from the start [changed]
- "Queue List" is changed to "Control Panel" on the main music Dir (free mode only) [changed]

In the next version (v1.13):
- I look forward to a server/client system, like a "multiplayer" system, which all Clint's can add/pay songs to queue to the server (great to install AMB on more than just one machine).
- I like to add add mp3/ogg radio streams. Do you know any good mp3/ogg radio streams on the net?
All major netradio's, here in Denmark, is WMA based (this is why WMA was on the first).

------------------------------------

progress as Jan 14:

I now finally got it fully running on Win 98

Im have now released the officiel v1.12 today with lots of changes since the "unofficiel" version. Here is a changes since the first post:

- Important: Use of Info.txt in a directory for both "Dir Sorting format" and to override. Because of this, the old "Dir Sorting Format" (presented in the setup) is removed [changed]

- Added ID3v1, ID3v2, ogg and Flac tag support to present the artist and album names (can been overrided) [added]
- The welcome text is changed to user collection text [changed].
- Windowed debugger mode, if you have trouble to access Arcade Music Box controls from Virtual Desktop systems [added]

It now finnally work very well on Win 98 with 2 minor "degrading" in the control configuration screens.....
