Act Labs TV Gun Problem
« on: January 07, 2005, 08:13:16 pm »
I just received my Act Labs TV light gun today.  I hooked it up and it found it like it should and it seemed to calibrate fine.  However, even at 2inches from the screen it can not hit a target.  It flashes the screen like it is firing, but nothing is ever hit.  When I go back to the desktop and fire the gun it seems to be calibrated fine.  It puts the cursor just about where the gun is.  Does anyone have any calibration tips for me?  Is it possible to get it working properly?

Thanks for any help

Josh

Make sure you calibrate for every game... each time you load the game.  Also when you use it in MAME make sure you set up the config to put the trigger as Mouse button one and enable mouse input for player one and reload.  That should get it up and going.

Your problem is you dont have your mouse button as button 1 in your game configuration. Note though, if you pause the game and try making the mouse button your button 1 it wont work, leave the game going, press tab, then change it. it will work now.  8)

I am sure I am making this more difficult than it should be, but I can not seem t get this to work

I ran VS Hogan's Alley and went into the game setup menu.  I clicked on the game input  menu and set P! Button1 to the trigger (which set it as Mouse button 0)

I am still unable to shoot in a game and hit anything.

What am I overlooking?

how do I enable mouse input for player one?  and setup reload???

Thanks for all the help
