  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
OptiPac with opti sensor.

OK,
Going back to a project that I started along time ago.  I have a OptiPac running USB, I currently have trackball to player 1 and the L & R player 1 buttons.  I would now like to add a steering wheel, vai a opti sensor.  It is labeled S1, S2, GND, and +5V.  Can I just run the wires to player 1 rotary, the +5 and GND, and the S1 & S2 ...to the X1 & X2 or Y1 & Y2....or does it matter.  Also could I just give it a try or is that dangerous?  Hope that makes sense, if not I could take a picture.
As always thanks for any help.
This is a fantastic site and the people are great!  ;D
