« on: January 07, 2005, 12:59:37 pm »
What's the easiest way to delete all the majong games from MAME?

do I have to delete each file one at a time or is there something easier?

thanks for the help.......

I deleted mine manually one at a time, but it was worth the effort IMO.

I think there still may be a few lurking here & there.

Try This, this will get most of them -

Change the extension so the file is "nomajong.bat" put it in the rom dir and run it.  This will create a dir called c:\majong and move those files into that dir.

I am working on a set of batch files to do this stuff right now for the Omega Mame.  I also have the following, though these just do a straight delete;

remsports.bat
remlightgun.bat
remadult.bat
remquiz.bat
remmaze.bat
remclone.bat
rempuzzle.bat

Does anyone actually know how to play Mahjong? I suspect that it's actually a conspiracy between the Japanese and the aliens who shoot their mind-control beam into my brain every Thursday at 6:14 PM. If only I could prove it.

I do..  Mah-jong is really fun actually.  If you just play the traditional rules, it's pretty close to poker.  Then you have the Wright-Patterson and National rules that are different.  The National change from year to year but the Wright-Patterson mostly stays the same.  They just add hands on occasion.  I have to have the card to see what hands are available in National, I've never played Write-Patterson.
