Wanted: Small or Miniature joystick assemblies
« on: January 06, 2005, 09:57:38 pm »
If anyone has a line on where I can get smaller than standard joystick assemblies(and buttons if they exist), please let me know.

(I'm working on a mini control panel project).
Thanks a lot.

How small?
You can buy an Epyx XJ 500 and crak it open. It's microswitches inside. Stick is maybe 2 inches tall...
NO MORE!!

You need to go to RGVAC and post a message asking for Playchoice COUNTERTOP joysticks and buttons. They are real small.

Are they leaf or microswitches?(I prefer leafs, because most of the older games I played used them).

And are they arcade "feel" and "quality"?

Thanks a lot.

What's your definition of "mini"?

If you want tiny joysticks then you aren't going to be able to be choosy. THey are probably microswitch, I have never seen a Nintendi joystick that was leaf.

I have many Nintendo joysticks, so perhaps I should look into the possibility of hack leafs onto them in place of the micros.

Thanks.

The only leaf switch sticks I've ever seen were standard sized arcade stuff.
