Wanted: Coin Door Parts. See Pic.
« on: October 11, 2002, 11:33:20 pm »
Im not sure what its called. But I need 2 - 25 Cent Buttons(the red buttons where you insert coins. And 1 Metal Frame(?) that goes around the button. See the picture below for exactly what I mean...

Most I've seen look pretty standard as far as the frame goes. But the door that I have is from a Robotron cab. Anyone have either of these please let me know. I can pay via Paypal, check, money order....

I have 2 of each although the red pieces are more orange and one is not in the best shape. Also the pieces that go around them are plastic rather than metal, they came off a Robotron that had been converted to Kid Nikki. I also have most of the rest of the door (I Mamed a Maimed Joust which was trashed and converted Howard ( :). I Admit I used the best parts from the two doors to rebuild mine but the price is right, I'll trade them for a quarter mech that works well or a hint on getting my quirky ones to take more than 1 in 4, or I'll just give it all to you for the price of shipping from 97477.

Hey Jester, just want to let you know I havnt' forgotten you, I'm swamped at work with one of my main techs out and lots of orders were keeping busy. I will get that stuff shipped as soon as I can get to it, not charge for shipping or otherwise.

If Yarb's don't work out for whatever reason, Bob Roberts has these for Coin Controls and Happ doors... go to http://www.dameon.net/BBBB/kk.html and go to the very bottom...

Oh, and Happ's has individual parts at http://www.happcontrols.com/cc/cc_amusement.htm and http://www.happcontrols.com/cc/42315700.htm ... you need two reject buttons and one reject bezel.

I had this problem with a pair of plastic Happ mechs... turns out the brackets were holding them so tightly that they were ever so slightly bending, enough to upset the internals.  I had to bend my brackets out a tad to get them to work...

I wonder if maybe they just need a good cleaning... have you tried taking them out and blasting some air through them?

Hey thanks Yarb! I really apreciate this. If theres anything I can do for you please feel free to let me know.

And thanks to you too Chris. I couldnt find the individual parts and happs. I'm sure it will come in handy on my future projects... Thinking of doing a dedicated Ms. PacMan, and a Tempest cab.

Sorry it took so long to get this together, I've got everything dug out and boxed, I am wondering if you want one of the lower coin doors with a metal coin tray that goes behind it, these are compatible with your williams stuff and came from a Robotron that had been converted to Kid Nikki.
