Galaga won't run on Mame32?
« on: January 03, 2005, 05:26:52 pm »
I can't get Galaga to run on Mame32--Galaxian will, but it says that some of the files are missing for Galaga and it won't run.  I can get it to run from Mamewah, but then the sound is a bit garbled.  I'm using the roms from the latest version of Mame.

I assumed that since Galaga was quite "vintage", I wouldn't have any problems getting it to run--are there existing problems with this game?

Sounds like your rom version doesn't match your MAME32 version.  Update MAME32 or get older romsets for your current version...

Yeah it's a fairly common problem with Galaga, just update your software and roms and you'll be fine.
