Thinking about using a real arcade marquee... but which
« on: January 01, 2005, 04:35:59 am »
My arcade cab will be a 4 player, with trackball and ms pac joystick
blue t-molding, black paint, 27" screen... the control panel won't be huge, it'll be somewhat like a real arcade 4 player cabinet.

I'm looking for a real arcade marquee that would fit the design, something that will be a good game, match the blue-ish theme or look good with it and possibly fit a 4 player theme.
Any suggestions?

I don't think this fits in the artwork forum but if so...

Just going out on a limb here...

You MIGHT just be happy with one from the Mortal Kombat universe:

Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat II
MK3
Ultimate MK3
Mortal Kombat 4

heh you know my first choice is UMK3 but since it's poorly emulated it'd feel crappy having it as my marquee

You might want to check the marquees link at mameworld.net, download some of their marquees and see what you like.  Also, I'm sure you could have one printed to any size you like so it will fit your cab as opposed to trying to design around a specific marquee.
