Very cool!  I have one called Mastering Pac-Man.  I remember using it as a kid and doing well enough that I would have to quit the game out of boredom, not from dying.

I have noticed though that these patterns don't seem to work with Mame Pac-Man (any version).  I wonder if it's because there is something in the emulation that still isn't quite right?

Anyone else find that, or do my reflexes just suck worse than they did 20+ years ago?

I find it funny the book was written by gentleman who has a PhD in Computer Engineering. Wow!! He must have been good at Pac Man!

I can imagine walking into a bookstore in 1982 and seeing 2 Pac Man books. One is written by Joe Lunchbox and the other by a "Computer Engineer". Hmmmm... Better grab this one as that guy MUST know what he is talking about.  ;D

I have had no problem getting classic patterns to work on either Puckman or Pacman. Remember you have to have speed up turned off, and most patterns aren't good until at least the apple stage.

Of course I play speed up, which requires different patterns.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

Oh, so you're saying my reflexes suck then huh?  Crap......    :'(  I'll have to practice more I guess.
