newbee questions
« on: December 27, 2004, 02:32:08 pm »
Hey guys/gals,

I just traded a dude for a jamma cabinent that he was converting to mame, but gave up.  It has a J-PAC interface and that's about it.  I've been digging around the web for the past few days and it seems like I'm chasing my tail.  I looking for the best method to utilize the cabinent with existing monitor.  Should I use DOS or Windows and which versions.  I'm also stuck on the methodolgy used to keep the video output to 15k.  I was going to order a trident blade t64 and use it with Advanced Mame using the scripts on easymamecab, but then I came across ArcadeOS which recommends using an ATI 3D Rage II+.  And there is also the ArcadeVGA.  Arrrrgh!  I don't want to waste time and most importantly money on finding the best setup.  Any ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Charlie
