Homemade DDR Pad project thread.
« on: December 26, 2004, 06:05:11 pm »
Ok, sorry if this has been done, but I now alot of people on here have their projects in the making. I've seen threads here and there, searched for a while, and couldn't find what I was looking for, so.

I plan on using a TV in my cabinet that will also play PS2 games (i'm using hacked PS Controllers, so I can hook the ends up to the USB adapters, or a PS2, and thanks to it being a tv, I can play games or MAME on it), now, I am planning on making a metal pad, but I want to use the existing pre made $20 from gamestop for PS2 to do this. That should make it a little easier, no? I don't want them to click, but to be pressure sensitive, and although I have an idea where to start, I'm not to sure about everything. Anyone know of any fourms for this? I want to make it sturdy, and I'll be laying them (2 of them) in front of my cabinet in my game room, and want them very sturdy. This is my wifes dream (Me and her used to waste tons of money on a harder to play "Pump it up DX" Machine). To bad they don't have Pump it up pads and games for the PS2.

Anyway, I thought I might get some ideas from you guys projects. Any projects in the making you care to share thoughts/ideas on?

If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen
