WTB: Mortal Kombat style cabinet
« on: December 25, 2004, 01:06:19 am »
Im looking for a mortal kombat style cabinet I think williams made them. I dont care If it has a game or a monitor but If it does thats ok to. I just need it to be within a few hundred miles of st. louis mo. because I dont want to have to ship. I would also be interested in a nfl blitz style cabinet http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13716&item=6140041006&rd=1
I think its basically the same cab with a 4- player control panel.

How about this one, located in st. louis (63031). Available with or without monitor, with or without populated or unpopulated control panel, and with or without Jpac.

yeah I asked about that one a while back when you had it for sale and my wife said there was no way I could buy something else. Ive recently got her to change her mind. Ive been looking at the different cabinet styles and this may sound stupid but I dont care for the angle the monitors at on that style cabinet. in fact i dont like most cabinet shapes that I see there is just something I like about the mortal kombat ones. I no most people probably think thats stupid but I have this picture in my mind of exactly what I want my mame cabinet to look like. So unless I have absolutely no luck finding a mortal kombat style one in the area id rather not get a different style.

It's gonna be rough to find one... they're fairly popular.

Depends on what is or isn't in it.

Usually you see them with games/MAME already installed. If you find an empty one, hopefully pretty cheap tho... I woudn't pay much for an empty cab unless it was in incredible condition!!

You should come up here and buy this cab so I can get it out of my bedroom.

what about this cabinet http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6139394442&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT I was the high bidder but the reserve was set for $650 is this the going rate for something like this? I dont really care for this game and the cabinet looks to be in bad shape, but at least its in my state.

You could proabably easily find the dimensions to a mortal kombat cabinet..Why dont you buildone? Im sayin at the most 3 sheets of mdf-about 63 dollars, a couple of one by 2's- bout 7 dollars, then some screws and a drill. You could probably get away with less than 100 dollars, and paint it however u want. Better than 500 or whatever you said youd spend, you should look into buildin one.
Coming soon: 4 player mame cab and Scratch built Moonwalker....Hall of Fame, here I come!
