Golden tee
« on: December 20, 2004, 02:40:40 pm »
I have a Golden tee 2k that was put in a Spy Hunter cabinet.
I want to upgrade to a  2002 and put in the flyby and backspin buttons.
The jamma connector is not labeled so I do not know which wires are for those buttons. Can anyone help.
Thanks,
Larry

Contact the manufacturer www.itsgames.com for more information on the Golden Tee series.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the board sets are the same. You can only upgrade the board you have to 2k (which has already been done). The ones newer than that use a different board.

That's why I mentioned contacting the manufacturer since their are so many versions of Golden Tee and the circuit boards it runs on. I remember that there were red colored circuit boards and green colored circuit boards. Then you also had to note whether you have black connectors or white connectors on the boards.

Golden Tee 96 (3d) thru 2k and Golden Tee classics all run on the same hardware.

(There are different upgrade kits depending on the serial number of your board,
and if you have a single board or a 3 board set)

Anything after that is quite a different machine, has a hard drive and cdrom.

To go past Golden Tee Classic or 2k you would need a new board set, etc.

Like this.

Also, they support hires monitors like the 9200.

If you look close you can see the pc video card installed on that boardset.

I have all the necessary equipment to upgrade my machine.
the only thing I was looking for was the wire colors for position 20 and 21 on the spyhunter jamma connector since it is not labeled at all or from what side do you count from to get to the 20 and 21 position.

If you're looking at the connector the power wires start at 1 on the component side. I don't know what colour the wires should be, but you should be able to count wire positions to figure out which ones they are.

You can't wire conversion games by color. Sorry, it doesn't work that way. You have to check the pinout and count over until you get to the correct wire.
