be aware of the slim ps2 problem with laster...sony still don't know wtf the problem is

This is my FOR SALE ad in the buy and sell forum. If you have issues with the Playstation 2, talk about it somewhere. else. Amazing how some people spend their weekend scouring the BYOAC boards trying to start shlt. Get a life.

No thread poisoning.  Thread poisoning occurs when a person comes into a thread and posts something contrary to the spirit/intent of the thread.

agreed

By the way, I have a slim PStwo and have had no problems.

Erm, look on eBay and 90% of the time for a broken X-Box you'll find that it's getting "dirty disc errors." It is *very* common.

PSTwo's are definately worth the money. They have a built in LAN/Dial-up connection (no need to buy the adapter). They've got a top loading like the PSX/PSone. (Just needed to add that in so I'm not destroying your thread :))

no he was simply pointing out that theres a FLAW..

Theres a serious lack of cooling in them.. if there going on be on ALL THE TIME. its best to buy an old one that has semi decent cooling..

if its on for a few hours tops at a time, then by all means the new psTWO is fine..

and sell it on ebay, youll get 200+ for it..

thank you soapboy....

can i have an apology craig?
why do you think everybody here is looking to start trouble?  im waiting to buy one myself but am waiting to the situation is under control @ Sony.  If you go to EB, they will tell you themselves... yeah, they are sold out but they arent being distrubted out to the stores as of now since the first couple of batches.

If i wanted to start trouble, i would say "Maybe yours system has a probelm and you want to dumb it off to somebody that doesnt know better"  but i didnt say that... did I?  Prehaps now as an example but otherwise, I didnt.

Good Day :)

For the 'get a life' comment, he probably should.  I don't believe you posted your response with bad intentions.

Nevertheless it did "poison the thread."  Your original reply made it sound as if every PStwo is faulty, when that's not the case.  An argument about the PStwo would best be discussed in the consoles forum, but not in someone else's For Sale thread.

Sorry for the OT.

Nice of craig to offer the PStwo for sale without profiteering.  A lot of people (around here, at least) who aren't willing/able to camp out are still having trouble getting ahold of these for the holidays.

Well I was at the inlaws all day yesterday and they have a new slim-line PS2 for the  playroom. And that thing ran all day long playing games running DVD movies. And the only hot item was the TV the playstation was slightly warm. Looks like I am sold on the new PS2.

The internal heating is kept to a bare minimum now because the power transformer is now on the outside of the system like they did with the remodled PS1. I've had my mini ps1 for 3 years now and never had so much as a disc skip in it.

It's 9am. I'm calling it a nite.
