MAME Software Setup
« on: December 18, 2004, 12:53:51 pm »
Hi

What kind of MAME software setup do people have going?  I'm just starting to put the PC together and I'm starting to think about the software side of things.  I'll be running some version of Windows (probably 2K).  I'd like to have the machine boot up right into some sort of MAME menu.  Is AdvanceMAME and AdvanceMENU what people use?  Just put the AdvanceMENU binary into their Startup folder and away you go?  Any others software options to look into?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the boards. Search around, there is a TON of information on this. I am sure you will be able to find it no problem. For my cab I am using Win2k pro, and I am using Mamewah as a frontend. I use Mamewah as a shell so it boots right up. Do a search on that too, you should come up with what you are looking for.

Good luck, Fred.
