I don't think it's a programming error; I think it's intentional. Note that *everyone's* avatar is hosted by the board now.

It only happens if your animated gif is larger than 80x80. The solution: resize your gif to 80x80, and then upload it.

There's an option to host your own instead of uploading it. I can see it on your profile (the option), but I'm an admin. If you look at your profile, do you see that option?

When I try to host my own (I put in the URL to the image) it goes quiet for sec, comes up with the picture, resized and hosted by BYOAC.
