One thing you might want to do is angle the 2nd level.  Not very much but if your going to play Golden Tee which I do alot, somebody sometime is going to smash there fingers or catch there palm right on the ledge(it hurts trust me).  If you put alittle bit of slope on it that should really help on the hands.

This cab has a very similar set up. Check it out.

Yes he says he based the design on the supercade.

You've got enough room to move P3 and P4 out slightly more as the controls look right next to P1 and P2, which may not be necessary with all your space....

Are you including a spinner? you could add one at the cup holder although its not a great angle. Even better inbetween P1 and P3?

Silver-I wasn't going to have a spinner, I was just going to substitute the trackball. But, I had allowed space on the removable CP on level two in case I changed my mind later. My aim is to sort out the spacing properly when I start cutting up cardboard so I will fiddle with P3 & P4 then and see how it feels.

Yeah good call Walls83, I will definitely put a slight slope on both CP's.

The design is obviously heavily borrowed from Supercade and I don

Tiger-Heli: Yeah I had considered wiring up the removable CP via a plug or two and saving on the IPAC's needed for each CP. It's a sensible option that I will give more consideration. I do like the thought of each CP being "plug & play" even though the only real advantage is if I wanted to take it somewhere. (Which won't happen much anyway)

Good point - It's basically plug and play with DB25's, but it would be a neat option to make the removable CP so it had a base (like a HotRod) and then you could pull it out and connect to another computer, if desired.  Interesting idea.
