hey...i recently started building a mame cabinet...so i purchased a used WWF Wrestlefest cabinet...on second thought, it might not be wrestlefest, but it is a wrestling game...the one with the huge light-up "action" button...

anyway, i have no use for the control panel, and it happens to have a blue ball top joystick (leaf)...

now i'm not sure if its 4-way...it has a leaf-type thing for up, down, left, and right, if thats what you mean...sorry i'm kinda new to this...i also have no idea what brand it is...

i can take pics of it for you if you want...

just remembered its a "Main Event" control panel...and i think the joysticks are 8-way

Hmm, maybe not cost effective but if you could find a regular Wico 4 way leaf joy and buy an aftermarket balltop from specialtyplastics?

That way you could opt for a 4" shaft instead of a 3.5" for a wood panel, that is if you are using it for a wood panel.

That would be great, I didn't know anyone made aftermarket balltop handles. Do you have a link where I can buy them? I tried specialtyplastics.com, but that doesn't look like the site I'm after.

Oh, and my panels are metal, but it sounds like they make 3.5 & 4" shafts.

I don't think they are still making ball tops.  I've emailed them several times a few weeks ago and never once got a response.  Your best bet is to buy a P360 Ball Top from Slik Stik.

I think the Slik Stik anodized ball tops are neat looking, but they aren't exactly authentic IMO. Besides, I already have two blue ball top 8 ways and I want a four way to match.

No response from specialty plastics, so I'm assuming that they don't sell these anymore.

Anyone else know of a source?

If I can come up with another 8 way Wico like the two I already have is it just a matter of swapping out the round actuator for a square one to convert it to 4 way or is ther more to it? This may be a question for the main forum.

Funny you mention that !! I actually threw a BlueHandle in the box when I shipped your Wicos. It's not the complete joy, just the shaft, but I figured you might be able to use it if you were looking to mix and match.
