Hey y'all,
I'm good with making computers, having made about 5 for myself, and was just wondering if there was any intrest out there for MAME computers. I could build pretty much anything, but i could put the following configuration together for about $400. This would be brand new with all new parts and would be ready to play MAME games plus regular PC games. Just checking for intrest.
2.26 GHz Intel Celeron D processor, based on the newer pentium 4 core
Compatible motherboard with all regular connections plus 2 serial ports (trackball or spinner) and a game port (joystick)
256MB Mushkin Memory (good brand)
40GB Seagate 7200RPM hard drive
ABIT ATI Radeon 9200SE Video Card (same chipset as ArcadeVGA) w/ drivers configured to work w/ Arcade Monitor and perhaps an interface for an arcade monitor
Windows XP Home Service Pack 2 w/ all recent updates
MAME and frontend of choice installed and configured
I can also make it so that the pc can power on from a regular arcade button (i can output NO and COM cords for you to connect a regular arcade button anywhere on your cabinet to)
Please respond back if there's any intrest, comments, or criticisms. I would be doing this pretty much at cost but just wanna give something back to the hobby.
Thanks,
John
