Atari AR boards
« on: December 08, 2004, 10:03:34 am »
Is there a matrix someplace of which AR boards work in which Atari cabs?  Or will they all work in all Atari cabs that use them?  I ask because I'm going to have to snag another if my rebuild of my own AR board doesn't work.

Yep, there sure is and here it is: www.elektronforge.com/AudioRegs.htm

As you'll see there are several different versions and that site tells you which version goes in what games.

The version number (dash number) like "-04" for example, is usually hand written on the parts side of the board with a black Sharpie marker.

That's funny, I'll have to take a look at mine.

EDIT:

Here it is, though you can't see close enough to see if there's writing on it.

I have 3 non-working ones and a rebuild kit. When I'm done getting 1 to work, I'll be able to spare the other two. I'll check what # they are...
NO MORE!!

Bob Roberts' rebuild kit?  That's what I ordered.
