Happ Perfect 360 Funky Pricing?
« on: December 07, 2004, 10:42:22 am »
Is it just me or is Happ's pricing system messed up?

A P360 joystick is listed on their web site as $48.95 dollars each right?

I called the sales department to check on the prices for all of the parts of the P360 seperatly to see how much it would add up to.

50-0327-00 P360 Black Handle  $1.50
50-0341-00 Washer 2" Black     $.35
50-0337-00 Metal Sleeve 1/2"   $.50
50-0340-00 Pivot Bushing         $.45
95-2471-00 Hub Assembly        $11.50

Total = $14.30

Ok thats not including the Actuator and E-Clip because I allready have those but is it just me or is that an extremely good price on P360's?  I ordered 5.  I hope I don't get a call this afternoon saying that they miss quoted me on a price or something.

well, they have to ship each in different boxes.

Shipping will be about $75

But really... If your right, and it works out well... LET US KNOW!

they do go on sale about once a year for 15 - 20 bucks don't they?  Last time I almost bought two... then remember I'm broke

LoL , Yeah that would be Ironic if they charged me $75 shipping.  I thought that might happen so I asked how much the shipping would be and they said only $10-$15.  I sure hope it works out.

Looks like you're using the assembly instructions for a parts list.  I'm guessing that's only a partial list to show assemply order.  The handle price is probably just for the plastic part (not the shaft), and probably the hub assembly is just the plastic base piece without the spring, optics, and anything else in there.

Generally buying anything in pieces is going to cost more than the assembled unit.

The handle comes with both the plastic and the metal shaft.  They are attached to eachother.  It's not like on a Sanwa or SlikStik where the plastic part just screws onto the shaft.  I was worried that the Hub Might not come with the springs or optics or anything too so before I ordered a talked with one of the Tech's (Ashley) and asked what all it came with and she said it came with the optics spring and everything.

Wow if that's really the case I think I'm going to be in the market for several sets of "spare parts!"

Well Happ finally shipped my order today.  It took them a week to get the P360's from the wearhouse.  Hopefully I should get them in a few days and find out if I really have everything I need for a fully functional joystick.  I'm pretty sure I do.  I only paid $15 dollars each plus shipping.

Just make sure you order all of the parts from the PDF file.  I didn't list all of the part numbers in my original post.

No I wasn't able to order them through their website either you have to order the parts by phone.  That was why I had to call them to find out the prices for the parts.

Yeah I meant the PDF file on Happs site for the P360.

Hey its been brought to my attention that maybe I should delete this thread since people from Happ some times browse these boards and if they saw this they might try fixing their prices.  What do you guys think?

I haven't heard of Happ checking this site... It may be that they do but I haven't heard anything.
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

They wouldn't have to check the site to get wise to what just happened. All if would take is for the order processing monkey to put two and two together, and mention it to his supervisor, and for the supervisor to  escalate it to his supervisor.

Actualy no, until sept. 9 it's cheaper to buy directly from Happ since they are "on sale" right now: $32,95

And yes I checked with Ponyboy....he cannot go below their price:
