Will any USB headset work with a PS2?

I've been looking at USB headsets for PS2 and haven't seen anything locally that really fits the bill for me.. There's plenty of good USB stereo headphone/mic sets online for PC/Mac, and I was wondering if they would generally work on a Playstation 2..?

Any pointers to FAQ's on the PS2 USB ports or personal experiences with PC USB headsets on the PS2 would be much appreciated..:-)
