Trackball and Spinner Problem
« on: November 28, 2004, 04:41:13 pm »
Currently any of the games which use a spinner or trackball will not work using said controls.  Previously they had worked before in such games such as Centipede, Tempest, etc.  Both the spinner and trackball work in Windows mode.  I did not change any settings within the games themselves.

Does anyone know what would cause this problem?

I am using Windows XP and running MAME32 with a Slikstik CO2 CP with an IPAC4.

You need to go into .ini file/s and make sure you have mouse 1 not mouse 0 in there.

Checked the MAME32.ini file and mouse is set to mouse 1.

Also there is no reference to the mouse in the game .ini files

Any other suggestions?

In that case try changing individual .ini files, just add mouse 1 in there and see if it fixes the problem.

Did not work.

Is there some default settings somewhere that identify or activate the spinner and trackball?

I am confused as to what would cause this problem as the games worked be correctly before?
