Ivory colored player 1 & 2 buttons
« on: November 28, 2004, 02:23:18 pm »
Hi All
Any one know where to find off-white player 1 & 2 buttons?  I know they exist as I have seen them on ebay and in the arcades.  Color I'm looking for would match the collor of a Q-Ball.

Please don't tell me these are white buttons after years of abuse.

actually they very well could be. I know all of my white buttons turned an ivory color after a few years and the majority of the old ones I buy are ivory color on top but the bottom portion is always a bright white. Now there may be a place that sells them that way but more then likely you'll have to buy some white ones and wait for them to weather to an ivory color.

I tried the delete option. It does not work. More transition bugs I guess.

No, the old software would do it too.  Deleted the extra.

You know someone mentioned in a forum they had dyed a flightstick of some sort with regular dye, bought at a grocery or craft store.  Do a search for it, Its gotta be worth looking at.  Seems a little bit of dye would take care of those pearly white buttons.
Actually, really strong trong tea in boiling water could probably tanish those buttons, but may not work as well as the dyes would.

I was thinking of dyeing a few extra buttons just to see what the results would be, can you imagiane a purple player 1 start

BTW- Don't forget to take the spring out, don't want them to rust!

Thanks. I may try that.  I have some extra white buttons.  Next to my trackball the new white buttons have that same look as a new pair of sneakers. Always makes me want to jump in the mud.
