Must build cockpit racing cab!
« on: November 28, 2004, 10:16:19 am »
Uh oh.  I bought "Need for Speed Underground 2" for my boys to get them to stop playing Jak II and a couple of other "Teen" games on the PS2.  I never really played the PS2, but this game looks pretty cool.  I don't know how anyone could get any good at it with those itty-bitty PS2 joysticks, so I picked up the Logitech Force Feedback wheel last night.  OMG!  I think the boys are going to have to go buy their own PS2 now!

Do any modern arcade racers have force feedback that is that realistic?

More importantly, I want a cockpit racer for the PS2!  I assume it will need to use a TV - I've got a nice 27" Sony, and 63"x30" of floor space.  I checked Jakobud's website, but don't see any cockpits there.  I'll be checking the projects page to see who else has done this.

I havn't really seen to many plans for a cockpit...If you can measure one at an arcade that would help get you started just modify it to your liking....

wish I had the space for a cockpit  :-\
