Simple art request for a high quality image of a word.
« on: November 23, 2004, 03:05:17 am »
Simple, easy, ordinary art request here
Please create a high quality image, something print quality at marquee size, of the logo "Ultracade" from somewhere within the www.ultracade.com website. I'm referring to the one that is multi-colored like it goes orange-yellow-green-red-blue or something like that. I'd really appreciate it, I am incapable of doing it myself due to computer restraints. Thank you.

Have you asked the company if you can buy one as a repair part?

I like the way that the 25' looks like a Pac-Man/Midway machine sorta... but that art... (dies)  :P

I have no doubt they'd charge an arm and a leg but I can't get ahold of the lady, she's outta town or something.

I don't like the art as much as I do just the logo...I want to name my arcade Ultracade so I like that multi-color logo.... although I do think the art background is kinda nice and vibrant.

LOL yeah, you KNOW they would. Look at their kit prices!!

I can see it now...

Ultracade - "Yeah, one replacement marquee, that's $199.99."

Buyer - "Ack!!" (dies)

it's weird
here I have mame, with EVERY arcade game
they have a super expensive cabinet with 88 games
(expansion sets are $600 each)

yet I am drawn to it, wanting it...
EVEN though Ultracade is also just an emulation machine/system...
It's the presentation, I love it

If they weren't currently in business selling the product using that trademark, I think it would be a lot more likely someone would volunteer to do up the artwork.

Wow, they've gone through a lot of slightly different versions of that logo.  Please see PM, subzero

Forget trying to order from Ultracade, call your local distributor. You should be able to order one from them, or they might even have one in stock.

Ultracades don't actually earn all that well (or at least the few I have seen on route are almost always unoccupied), so it is distinctly possible that some of them have already been converted.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

Look man, It is ovbious that the crowd here really isn't going along with what you are trying to do. I think you need to take matters into your own hands if you want to make the project happen, instead of depending on everybody else to find answers. The marquee should not be hard to make. Go on google, find a font that closely matches the ultracade font. I am sure there is one available somewhere. Open illustrator, make a canvas the size that you need, write the word "ultracade" with whatever font that you find, if you want to add colors and stuff look up an illustrator tutorial, or after you are done take it over into photoshop and mess with it there. After you are done, send it over to Scott at mamemarquees.com and have it printed.

Whoa whoa WHOA... Let's not start this again.  :-\

I don't think that subzero is doing anything too annoying by asking for help, even repeatedly, but sometimes he comes off like he EXPECTS help... and this board reacts REALLY badly to that.  :police:

Finally, remember, the "BYO" in the title of the site does stand for "Build Your Own!"  ;D
OK....I hear ya.  And I was feeling all "Thanksgiving-ly" and stuff, so I took it off.

Just for you, Gunstar Hero  :-*
