20"-21" SVGA monitors in DFW area
« on: November 17, 2004, 09:53:06 pm »
Ok, I managed to work out a deal with a local dealer for some 20-21" computer monitors for a decent price.  I am goign to go look at them in the next few days to see what he has.  Would anyone be interested in purchasing some?

They are going to be about $60 each and there are approximately 15 available.  I've got 4 spoken for right now, so that leaves 11 (maybe).  These are older monitors (obviously), but supposed to be very good quality.  He tells me the are all name brand, high-rez, office monitors (no former gaming machines ;D).

Anyone outside of DFW area is also welcome to buy, but you would have to pay shipping, and I have no idea what it would run yet.

Email or PM me if interested.  I need to know by tonight or tomorrow, preferably.

Is this guy in Garland on Post Oak?

If yes, I think you will be pleased with what you find.

No, but I would be interested to find out who that is.  Do you have the information (name, phone number)?

It was eBay ID nancy75044 but based on a quick look, does not appear to have much left compared to the items that have been up for grabs in the past couple of weeks.

There were a couple of businesses that closed that he acquired quite a bit of computer equipment from.

Nancy is the wife, person making the sales is Don.

Honest seller....worth checking from time to time to see what he might have up for sale.

Are we talking standard computer monitors or universal mount monitors? If you're talking about the latter then I'd be interested in one.

I was referring to SVGA computer monitors and based on the thread title, I'm pretty certain EyeDoc is as well.

I picked up some of them today.  Very nice!  I am installing one into my NARCade project this weekend (removing the G07 that won't sync with a JPAC).  This is a beautiful Viewsonic 21" graphics monitor with antireflective coating on the screen.  A bit of a job to strip it out of the case, but well worth it.

I fyou are using it for MAME, you can just change the settings in the software and put the monitor in vertically.  You don't need to mess around with the yoke.
