TV size for cab - 27" too big?
« on: November 15, 2004, 08:54:50 am »
Hello, I'm just starting the construction on my cabinet (finally got my father to help me router the t-molding groove in the pieces) but I had a question about the monitor.

I was planning on using a TV since it's cheaper than a computer monitor. I was thinking 27" since the cabinet will hold it and something smaller might look too small. My concern (actually, my wife's concern) is that a 27" screen will be too big since you're sort of right on top of it while playing. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Also, what will I need to hook it up to the PC? Does it need to have S-Video?

thanks!

I have a 29" arcade monitors in one of my cabs and it is RIGHT THERE in front of your face. But that is an arcade monitor. Tv's have an interlaced picture, which isn't as nice 12" from your face.

Do some testing with your own tv before you decide.
