Trade: Midway Skins Golf for Smaller Arcade Game (Illinois)
« on: November 15, 2004, 02:14:46 am »
I want to trade with someone local.

This is what I have I am new to all this so I will do my best. It is a Bally / Midway Skins Golf Game full size arcade cabinet.  This video game is in great shape. This game was just built, not used in an arcade. It has a used cabinet in great shape, brand new control panel, and a new CPU. This game is suitable for all ages and is a great deal. There is a nickle sized scuff mark on the monitor that does not inhibit game play. Game is in GREAT shape!

I want to TRADE for a cocktail size video game. This one is too big to fit down the stairs to my basement. Let me know what you have either here or at garickgutierrez@yahoo.com. 630-878-7898. I would like a cocktail Tee Game, Mame, etc. but let's see what you have.

Thanks
Garrick Gutierrez

You neglected to list your area.

Oops, I saw it. How close to St. Louis? I may be able to help.

I can usually come up with stuff. Cocktail Golden Tees are almost impossible to come by though. I have one of the proper type cabinets for one, but no guts for it. Also, those cabinets are HUGE.

I do have a Golden Tee '99 upright, but I sort of want to keep it.

I would trade an upright mame cabinet for it (normal size, not oversize like your cabinet). I have a nice light plywood (smaller) 70s style cabinet I could use, or I also have some of the heavier more traditional 80s cabinets available as well.

Let me know if you are interested.

OK Not to sound ignorant, but what games are on the Mame cabinet and what condition is it in.

Got pics and how much smaller is it really? I would like to stick with a cocktail size because I am sure it will fit, but who knows if it can be taken apart it might be worth it.

I would be building it especially for you, so you would have options. Measure your door first, but I have never encountered a door that you can't fit a standard sized cabinet in.

I live on a second floor apartment with a narrow doorway and behind a stairwell with a 180 degree turn, so I am a master at knowing what will fit and what won;t.

Oh, and the style cocktail generally used with Golden Tee is WAY harder to get through a door than a standard upright. Mine will only fit through my front door and not through my back one.

Would the cabinet not be put together for easier moving? ANd how would we do the trade? I do not have alift gate truck or any truck to accomodate this game.

How many games can you put on the Mame you will be making for me? What size screen? Do you have any pics of one similiar that you will be buyilding for me?

Thanks
Garrick

It would be 21" screen, and it essentially have ALL the games. I DO NOT build new cabinets from scratch, so it would be a NORMAL arcade cabinet, normal sized, not giant like the one you have. And no, it won't come apart, but you would be able to take the monitor out, which makes for easy moving.

Although if you don't have a way to come here then it probably isn't going to happen, as I DO have a truck, but it is over 20 years old, and is barely putting along, and I am not risking a long trip in it.
