Would this fit?

Could I get a KDS 21 Inch" monitor (with casing) to squeeze into a standard-sized Ms. Pacman cocktail cabinet? Anybody tried this?

It should BARELY fit. Worst case scenario you will have to modify the frame.

I will try and measure them tonight.  I don't have a ms-pacman cab but I have two kds monitors.

btw, those monitors aren't all that good for mame (too high resolution) but GREAT for PC games ect.  Also GREAT for all vector games...

It BARELY fits, and you have to lose the case. Which you don't need anyway. If you aren't familiar with the setup, here is how it goes.

The monitor tube, and boards, and all of it are attached to a sturdy front mounting plate, it is all attached to that plate, nowhere else. The rest of the fram can be removed and you will hang your monitor down into the cocktail from the mounting plate. It will be a pretty easy install.

It won't work with the case on though, even if you got it in there you wouldn't be able to get anything else in there with it, you need that extra space.

I was expecting to remove the casing anyways. I'm glad to hear that everything stays intact, though.

Would I have to enlarge the cut-out where the monitor shows through?

Not sure, I didn't fully investigate it, I just measured it up real quick. If you did have to enlarge it, then it wouldn't be by much, as the tube on the KDS is just BARELY bigger than the tube on a 19" G07 monitor.

Well enlarging a little or a lot probably requires the same amount of effort (and more importantly, the same room for mistake). Any expansion at all kind of turns me off to the idea.

Yes, it will fit. It's tight, but it will fit Horizontally.  Vertically, you may have to knock out the back plate and move it.
