Info on coin door
« on: November 11, 2004, 01:16:25 am »
I bought this coin door off Ebay a little while ago. I totally love it, looks really retro and is solid as rock. Needs a little TLC but I think it will come up great. Imagine my surprise when I found the 20c labels hidden behind some hand written stickers.

Anyway, enough about my love affair, my question is, does anyone know what the yellow plastic circle is for?

The little plastic circle is where you can add a button. Like a credit button, reset button, credit knock off button, start button, whatever you might want a button on the coin door for.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

2 thoughts come to mind

start button ( 1 on mame etc ) - personaly i like the white player 1 and lpayer 2 buttons for that

exit button ( esc for mame ) - needed button that doesnt fit anywhere on most "standard" control panel layouts.

and of course if you want to totaly defeat the purpose of a coin door ( becideds looking cool ) , a credit button ( 5 for mame )

That's a great place for a credit button!
