Happ Joysticks - how do you keep the bottom from falling off?
« on: November 10, 2004, 06:41:40 pm »
OK this may be a really stupid question, but I just got my Happ Super joysticks today and there's a little black cylinder that you're supposed to put on the bottom that ends up hitting the triggers for the directionals when you move the joystick... the problem is... there's nothing to keep this thing from falling off! I move the joystick a few times and the cylinder gets slid downward to the point where the control doesn't register anymore.

Be gentle   :-\

Hey! I just looked at the exploded view of the joystick on Happ's website, and it looks like there's some other little tiny piece that's supposed to go under the cynlinder thing (very bottom of the picture) http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/super_joy_e.htm.

My joysticks didn't come with that little piece. Are they supposed to?  :-\

Yes it's called an e-clip. You can't use your joysticks without it and it's quite small, you may have lost it or it may have been missing. Just email Happ and they will send you one.

*Sigh* - Thanks apollo - I gave Happ a call and they're going to send me out the e-clips tomorrow. They were really nice about it though.

You might be able to go to home depot and find o-ring clips that might work like the e-clip...
