Yes looks nice.....

I've thought several times about trying to get some kind of UK sticky post for useful sites and tips, as getting hold of stuff over here seems to be a very different kettle of fish than picking up some old cabs for $30 in the states.... And ebay over here is much more threadbare..... (And no one seems to understand that I just have to build this cab...!!)

However we should probably do it on another site. I remember someone had a thread asking all UK people to post but not sure what happened to that.

At least you live in London, it is seriously threadbare up here in Newcastle!
I had to build a cab from scratch as i could not get my hands on one at all.

Amusingly a lot of parts have come from places up north.... but I'm going the build-it-myself route anyway. Which is a bit foolish due to my lack of wood working skills, but never do things by halves I say....

You'll be fine...I did the same and it actually looks not bad - and I'd never even touched a circular saw or router before 8)

Hoho cheers for the encouragment. I'd believe you too, if I wasn't planning to fit everything into some kind of super-compact rotating/extending epic....

With regards to Hantarex:

I posted the letter with the order and cheque on Tuesday night - first class.

I have the monitor today (Thursday)

Now that's what I call service.

That is good, that is Bob Robert's kind of reponse time. Basically the check came in and they shipped the monitor IMMEDIATELY!

While we have a UK audience....

..Has anyone found anywhere selling 1/16" router bit for T-Moulding in the UK?

Coin door's - bane of my life - I can get them new, and have been keeping an eye on ebay (theres a nice new one+mechs on there now) - but I'm not keen on shelling out

Looks like Hantarex are a winner in the UK....

Minwah - did you say you could not buy direct? Seems at odds with other peoples experience....

Think I will try and set up a webpage over the weekend if I get a chance and people can submit sites etc.... I'll include good international sites too as I've found several US sites actually work out cheaper even with shipping than getting the same over here, especially for small stuff....

That's right, maybe they didn't like me  :(

For slot-cutting bits: http://www.tooled-up.com/

For coin doors/mechs keep a watch on www.ebay.co.uk - they are sparse but the new price is a joke IMO.  I picked up a Happ under/over door with 20p mechs for a fiver  ;D

The UK parts/vendors list sounds like a great idea...

Additionally www.screwfix.com are a useful source for networking cable and tools. I found a patch panel on there that was far far cheaper than anything I could find elsewhere.

Do they sell a correct size t-moulding bit? I could not see one...

Anyway - A good bet is http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/

They do a 1/16" bit for $16 US - special deal, and happy to ship internationall for around $20 I think so $36 =

Yes, if you count a metric equivalent (1.5mm) as the correct size...

Sounds like a good deal from mlcswoodworking - I think for blade, arbour and bearings I payed ~

Ah! I forgot to convert and search in mm....

I presume the 1.5mm slot cutter works for t-moulding if you used it.

The $16 includes arbor etc.., its $12 without. Bargin if you ask me, although  a bit akward to return if they get the order wrong etc..etc...

It's a good start Silver. Might be worth asking saint if he can put a link up on this site for it.
