« on: November 10, 2004, 04:47:17 am »
just some words to tell you that I've upped, among others;),  the popeye marquee in vector format to the Arcade Art Library

now i'm looking for the CPO and bezel in order to have the full art forpopeye available.
if you have, or can get, scan, HI-res pictures or any other suitable material in order to start the tracing process, please drop me a note.

I found some sample stuff on the web.... It might make for good reference... but not good enough in itself.

I'll keep looking.
By the way, that looks awesome!! Thanks!

thank's Mahuti, I have some of the one posted here. as you mentioned thery are good for reference, but they lack lack resolution to be used directly.

How much demand is there for this art? The original stuff is easy to find since resale shops REGULARLY convert dedicated Popeye's into Donkey Kong.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

I have an original Popeye however it doesn't have side art. If you want scans just let me know of what and I will do my best to get you clean scans. Just let me know.

Answer 1; It doesn't matter.

Answer 2; Easily available is still not as good as freely available.

Answer 3; if we trace it... they will come.

I will do my best but in all honesty with my current blown up computer and no scanner. It might take me a bit to zip on out to kinkos with the bezel and CP. But I will honestly put some effort into this to help the community.

Is there anything special or format wise I have to tell kinkos to scan them as?

very high-res.

;)

Seriously 300 DPI at-size JPG would be fine.

Euro Atari Popeye work in progress vectors...
First the cab from the flyer looks like this:

Marquee:

Control Panel Overlay:

Sideart:

A few guesses there: like the marquee and top of the sideart... if only there were more pictures out there...

Any news on the missing files (ie Bezel & CPO).
Wanted to do a Q*bert bartop but the wife decided she liked the Popeye art better.
(I tend do agree)

Would love to get my hands on the missing vector files.
Email me if anything ?

thanks !

Bumpin this up !
Got my hands on a Popeye cabinet.
I have the bezel and marquee, but don't have a CPO.
Due to cost issues I'd like to have one printed.
Does the vector image exist ?

My email is in the above post should anyone have it.

Thanks all
