FS: Games in DFW, TX area
« on: November 10, 2004, 02:51:15 am »
I have several available right now:

1) NeoGeo 1-slot MVS with World Heroes 2.  Coversion cab with abiltiy
to mount dual monitors.  ***SOLD***

2) X-Men vs Street Fighter. Nice 25" monitor, "Wolverine" cab.

3) Super Street Fighter 2. 19" monitor, nice cab, marquee non-matching.

4) Super Neo 29 candy cab with Street Fighter II.  This is a Japanese
sit-down cabinet with a huge 29" monitor.  very nice!  This can also be
purchased with my MAME setup still intact (email for details).

5) 50" Mitsubishi monitor from Virtua Cop.  This looks like a
big-screen TV on casters.  You could probably even hook it up to your
PC or console and have an enormous gaming machine!

Coming soon: the following machines are currently having their monitors serviced to restore, otherwise they are fully working.

1) Sega Turbo upright.  Very nice cabinet, fun game.
2) Konami Super Basketball.  Nice cabinet, woodgrain finish.

Games can be picked up locally, or shipping can be arranged by the
buyer.

Sega Turbo and Super Basketball are both great games, and great games to own. They don't cost $500 like a lot of other classics do.

Turbo has the nice cool LED scoreboard, which sets it apart from other classic drivers. It is also way more reliable than pole postion. Turbo boardsets DO develop problems, but they tend to KEEP WORKING even though they have problems.

Super Basketball is totally different than any other basketball game, and it is the ONLY game that has the FULL Konami Harness installed in it, all other Konami games are missing at least one wire, most more than one.
You can plug Gyruss, Scramble, Time Pilot and a bunch of other awesome boards into a Super Basketball cab.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

My interest in these items is dependent upon price. Got any ballpark figures Doc?

~edit: Got pics, too?

How much would you want for that 29" sitdown machine?

Virtua Cop 50" monitor: $500
(I have tested this using Advmame, and it does work.  HOwever, it requires a VGA to BNC cable and must be tweked to use that way.  I never tried it with PowerStrip.)

SuperNeo 29 candy cab:$600 with SFII or $1500 with my setup.
(If this doesn't sell, it's either going to eBay or the next SuperAuction anyway)

Oh these are all machines in good working condition. I was looking for something I could drop my own monitor into...

I was interested in the sit down, but I could also use any empty machine that would handle a 27" monitor.

Let me check around what I have empty or what my friends have.  I'll see if we have anything that will hold a 27".

You wouldn't happen to have an extra control panel insert for the Neo Super 29 would you?

I'm still trying to find a decent one for my cab.

Later,

Sorry, no extra panel. Too expensive to buy it just for parts too, I would imagine.

Neo Geo conversion is sold.  Rest are still available, if anyone is interested.

Will sell the Konami Super Basketball as-is (no monitor, but fully working otherwise) for $150.  I do have a WG monitor (nw) ssitting around that has screen burn from this game on it, however it doesn't have the vertical mountig bracket (I think my monitor guy ended up with that).  Make an offer for both together.

I am still waiting to make the Turbo complete again before selling it.  Unless somebody really wants it.......
