As discussed many times, the rebates are through Soyo which has a history of NEVER PAYING.  Not like many rebates that you simply have to make a call, but these are the worst.

Their terms usually ensure you have to mail immediately but they wont begin to "process" until after the last purchase date, which can be as far as 9 months out. Of course they hope you forget about it.

Check bensbargains, fatwallet, resellerratings for more info on Soyo and their scams. (It's usually through TigerDirect, but also affects any place that sells their products).  NewEgg also will not cover unpaid rebates.

Just be careful... buyer beware.

Ah, I didn't know about the Soyo thing.  Pity...this would make a killer one-board solution.

I knew there were many problems with rebates posted from TigerDirect.  Since this was from a top-notch company I thought there would be few issues.  Shows what I know!

There is a $33 Athlon board on sale now, no on board video, though.

I bought a soyo board through microcenter and the rebate came without a hitch.  It was my only experience with them though.  I hate mail-in's.  It needs to be a very good deal for me to deal with them.
Figure this, if they make it a mail-in instead of instant, they have to pay a crowd of people to deal with the mail and cut the checks.  That money comes from people not mailing the rebate in & rebates they reject.  That whole "business model" just seems like a scam to me.
