Suzo Univ. Induct.Control 38mm Ball Joystick

I'm just wondering whether anyone has had any experience with this joystick.

It uses induction instead of microswitches, and would therefore be of interest to anyone who doesn't like microswitch clicking.

I'm also wondering whether it could be modified to work as an analogue stick.

answer is almost definately no.  Arcade analog sticks are VERY different.  Usually with huge balls that move around (with a lot of grease) to move the potentiometers.

There were some hall effects (they use maginets) and look more like microswitch systems on the base (in that the base is closer in size)... but your still in trouble in that they aren't nearly as hackable as pot joysticks (since PC's use pots)
