Mini Cabinet help
« on: November 08, 2004, 02:29:01 pm »
Hey All...been a long time.

I'm currently throwing around Ideas for a smaller cab, like 4 ft tall or something like that.  I want to build it for my sisters...7 and 4. But make it big enough to where adults can play when sitting on a stool or something...

I thought I saw a while back a dude building 1/4 scale cabs. I've also thought about taking LuSid's design and scaling it down...but if there are smaller type cab plans in existance, that would jump the start I need to get it done before X-mas.

Any help would be appreciated...thx

I'm currently building a mini cab.  Minimame didn't have enough information to build the cab because it's based on the fact that you print out the sides full scale,  I wasn't able to figure out how to do that.

So I went to Jakobud's site http://www.jakobud.com/ and took the dimentions for defender and multiplied everything by .68 to scale it down to 68%.  Some of the numbers needed to be tweeked a little but that got it very close to what I needed.

Here's my rough sketch.  The #'s outside are for the sides.
It's 2 feet deep, 4 feet tall, 17 inches wide.

If you have Adobe Acrobat (not Reader, full version), you can use the advanced settings on the print dialog to enable the tiling option, which will make a 25 page document with match marks.

You could also just print it out normal size and scale it up by measuring and multiplying, which might be faster than taping up 25 pages.
